She thought she lost everything - ...until she found herself!

From a childhood scarred by abuse to years lost in addiction, homelessness and prison, Marni Spencer-Devlin seemed destined for darkness. In this riveting final volume of her memoirs, she recounts how she clawed her way out of a junkie life to multimillion-dollar success—only to be stopped by a deadly diagnosis that led to self-discovery and an unexpected awakening.

Marni: A Story of Survival is not a self-help manual but a vivid, true story of collapse and awakening. It’s an unflinching and ultimately uplifting memoir — a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the life that becomes possible beyond despair.

The story of

Marni Spencer-Devlin

Marni Spencer-Devlin creates art and words that awaken the authentic self and reconnect people to joy. Her large-scale mixed-media paintings are portals of colour, texture and story; her memoirs (Crawling Into the Light, Phoenix, and the forthcoming Marni) and self-help books (The Iceberg Principles and The List Method) invite readers to transform their own lives.

After building and running a multi-million-dollar business, surviving a life-threatening diagnosis, and finding her soulmate Pat, Marni embraced her true calling as an artist, author and guide. She now splits her time between California and Italy, where she creates new work in her hilltop studio and coaches individuals who want to discover their authentic purpose and live it fully.
